Tasting Notes

Nose
Notes of sherry and dried fruits dominate, with aromas of almond, honey, and polished oak. Hints of fruitcake, glacé cherries, sultanas, raisins, and candied orange peel intertwine with dark chocolate, ginger cake, and wood spices. Elegant yet full and rich, evoking Christmas spices and warmth.

Palate
A smooth and characterful palate featuring sherry, dark chocolate, and brown sugar. Notes of dried fruits like fig, prune, and orange complement cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Layers of light toffee, vanilla, and cocoa add complexity, with a soft and balanced finish.

Finish
Long and refined with a touch of woodsmoke. Delicate layers of candied fruits, charred oak, and gentle spices create a perfectly balanced, lingering impression.

Overall
A beautifully aged whisky that’s rich, complex, and exceptionally smooth. Perfectly balanced flavours make this an elegant choice, ideally bottled as a 45-year-old in mid-2025. A masterpiece of depth and character. A sophisticated and impressively aged whisky, combining richness and spice with balance and complexity.
