The first year of the Swinging Sixties saw Fred, Wilma, Betty and Barney make their debut on The Flintstones, along with the cinema release of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. In February 1964, The Beatles make their American debut on the Ed Sullivan Show to a crowd of screaming fans. In 1965 Mary Quant creates a sensation when she starts selling miniskirts at her hip boutique Bazaar in London this year. The decade ended with Neil Armstrong's landing on the moon in 1969.
