In 1876 Alexander Graham Bell made the first phone call, and he coolly predicted that one day there would be a telephone in every town. What would he make of the world now? In recognition of his understatement and his genius, we introduce a very limited bottling of a very special 28 year old Springbank as the second release of The Inventors series, part of the Great Scots collection by whiskybusiness.com. Only 88 individually numbered bottles available.
Nose
Sweet malt and dry sherry, with hints of smokey heather, tobacco and leather; complex and fragrant.
Palate
Smooth, then spiced heat leading to chocolate, pear and caramel. Nutmeg, honeysuckle and oak add depth.
Finish
Long and warming; sweet spices fade into tobacco leaf and dry oak.
