President Fidel Castro reportedly sent ''spies'' to Scotland in 1980 to learn how to make whisky. Today, a corner of a rum distillery on the island is devoted to the production of Old Havana. Although Castro stressed that it was never intended as a threat to the real thing, it certainly is a curious beast!
