This is from the legendary closed Japanese distillery Hanyu. Distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2012, this has been matured in Chibidaru casks.
Chibidaru are similar to quarter casks, the difference being that while Scottish quarter casks just have staves removed, Chibidaru have shortened staves and are repurposed.
Released exclusively at Whisky Live Tokyo, 2012, this single cask Chichibu yielded only 167 bottles.
