Rare stuff indeed. This was distilled at Mannochmore from 1996 to '97. This 10 year old is known as "The Black Whisky", so named for its very dark appearance. The producers attribute the colour to the use of double-charred casks. Perhaps there's a drop or two of spirit caramel in the equation. Regardless, this is quite a collectible.
