Nose
A wonderfully decadent sherry influence with coffee, oak, and dark chocolate and a touch of light minty glue from the NB origin. Notes of red fruits like raisins, plums, and dates, accompanied by coconut, vanilla, caramel, and tobacco. Subtle hints of glue and maple syrup add complexity.
Palate
A rich sherry-forward profile with honey sweetness, blackberries, strawberries, and oranges. Thick syrup and coffee candy blend with biscuits, coconut, and stewed red fruits. Chocolate and cherries provide depth.
Finish
Long and balanced, featuring sweet dates, honey-glazed apples, and coffee biscuits. Subtle tobacco and minty glue tones, with lingering meaty nuances and a sweet honey coating.

Overall
Absolutely fabulous. Scored 24/25 in a recent tasting, up against 30-year-old sherry Macallans and others of similar quality. Whilst it is more about the sherry influence than the spirit of North British, it is a standout gem.
